Minnesota Iron Pour '75 videotape digitized

Artist Wayne Potratz discovered a 1970's videotape in his personal collection and was able to have it digitized at Minnesota Media Arts media lab which recently acquired working 1/2" EIAJ open reel Sony videotape recorder/players from the 1970's.




Here are some photos of the videotape transfer and digitization process underway. Ron McCoy is observing the quality of the black and white videotape playback. Playback on a Sony 8600 1/2" open reel video recorder/player, transferred with time base correction and digitally captured on a Mac Pro using Final Cut Pro 7
